Ritmo

Terms of Service

Effective: 18 August 2026  ·  Last updated: 18 August 2026

Use Ritmo to plan and reflect on your time. Don't use it for anything unlawful. We're a small, independent team building something new — we don't promise it will be perfect, and it isn't a medical service or a backup service. If you subscribe, the price is shown before you buy and you can cancel any time through the App Store or Google Play. If you want to leave, deleting everything takes one action in the app.

1.Who these terms are between

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ritmo ("Ritmo", "we", "us"), an independent developer operating from Ghana, governing your use of the Ritmo apps for iOS and Android and their related services (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the Service.

2.What Ritmo is — and isn't

Ritmo is an adaptive, persona-aware, household-aware planning app. It helps you plan your day, capture stray thoughts, build habits, reflect on patterns, and share scheduling load with household members.

Ritmo is not:

3.Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old — or the age of digital consent in your country, if that is higher — to use Ritmo. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4.Your account

Using Ritmo requires an account, created with Sign in with Apple, an email one-time code, or (on Android) Sign in with Google. You agree to:

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; this removes your local data and our server-side records, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to compromise the Service, or are used to harass or harm other users. We will give you a reason and a chance to respond unless the law prevents us.

5.Subscriptions and billing

Ritmo offers optional paid plans — Ritmo+ (for one person) and Ritmo Household (up to five members) — billed monthly or yearly. When you subscribe:

Some features may be available at no charge on some platforms while paid plans roll out. Where a feature is free, it remains yours; we'll give notice in the app before any feature that is currently free becomes paid for existing users.

6.What you can and cannot do

Use Ritmo only for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to:

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to support@app-ritmo.com rather than exploiting it. We won't pursue legal action against good-faith security research.

7.Your content

The data you create in Ritmo — your captures, blocks, notes, reflections, goals, tasks, persona answers, and household setup — belongs to you. We claim no ownership. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate Ritmo for you: to store and sync your content across your devices, and, when you use the AI assistant, to send the relevant content to Anthropic to generate a reply. We do not use your content to train AI models, market to you, or share it beyond what the Privacy Policy describes.

When you create household-shareable records, they become readable by the other members of that household. Your private records stay private — sharing is your choice, record by record.

8.Our intellectual property

The Ritmo name, logo, design, code, and visual identity belong to us. Using the Service doesn't grant you a license to use our branding except to identify our app. Fonts used in Ritmo are licensed under their respective licenses (including, where applicable, the SIL Open Font License), which govern those fonts rather than these Terms.

9.Third-party services

When you connect Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, or Apple Health, those providers' own terms govern your relationship with them, and we're not responsible for changes they make, including loss of access. When you use the AI assistant, Anthropic's Usage Policies apply to your interactions with the model in addition to these Terms.

10.Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT USING RITMO WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11.Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA. These limits apply even if a remedy fails its essential purpose, and do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12.Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and costs arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of a third party's rights, or (c) content you provide that infringes another's rights or breaks the law. This does not apply to claims covered by a statutory right you cannot waive.

13.Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, with notice and a chance to cure where practical. Provisions that by their nature should survive — your content rights, our IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms — survive termination.

14.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

15.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We'll try to resolve any dispute informally first — email us. Where a dispute can't be resolved informally, it will be subject to the courts of Ghana, except that any statutory consumer-protection rights and venues available to you in your country of residence remain available to you.
